What is apay?
Payments infrastructure for platforms in Asia: one API and one checkout that route card, wallet and local-method payments to the best processor or partner bank per market, with a dashboard and signed webhooks.
Is apay a payment processor or a bank?
Neither. apay is the technology layer. Licensed processors and partner banks authorise, settle and hold funds; apay routes, tokenises, orchestrates and reports.
Which countries does apay cover?
Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and the UAE through connected processors today, with Kazakhstan and other Central Asian and Caucasus markets through partner banks in discussion. See markets.
Do Apple Pay and Google Pay work?
Yes, through processors that support them. apay manages certificates and domain verification; the buttons appear in the checkout automatically. See wallets.
How much does apay cost?
The sandbox is free. Pilot pricing is an indicative 2.9% plus a fixed fee per successful card payment, local methods from 0.8%, confirmed in your proposal. See pricing.
Is it secure?
Card data is entered in the apay checkout and stored in the apay vault; your servers never see card numbers, which keeps you in PCI DSS SAQ A. Webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA512.
How long does integration take?
A working sandbox integration takes an afternoon: create a payment from your server, mount the checkout, verify the webhook. Quickstart.
Can I keep my existing processor?
Yes. Connect it in the dashboard and route to it; add others per market as you grow.
What do banks get from partnering?
A merchant pipeline, a hosted checkout and a dashboard on day one, through one connector contract. See the bank partner programme.
